On The Road Sydney 2 was awesome!

Master Geoff's seminars on TLC and using a pen as a weapon were especially enjoyable!! The 3 guest instructors, Master Tooby (Kickboxing), Guro Floro (weapons) and Master Riches (Judo), were brilliant. Of particular note, Guro Floro showed us how to use a coke bottle as a weapon and taught us the special power of effervescence!

The weekend was also a great opportunity to train with and talk to Hapkidoists from the other regional schools.

We had 5 students from Parramatta attend which was great to see and I have no doubt all 5 students thoroughly enjoyed themselves and learnt a lot of valuable things.

The Multimedia section has now been updated to include photos from the OTR weekend, courtesy of Donna from Moorebank.

BBC Seminar - Ground Defence E-mail
Thursday, 06 September 2007 10:00

Last night's BBC Seminar on Ground Defence was awesome. Master Geoff taught us the essentials of defending yourself if you happen to end up on the ground during an altercation and most importantly, to make sure you don't get too comfortable on the ground.

The critical take home message was to ensure that you do everything possible to get back onto your feet as soon as you can!

We learnt how to position ourselves so we have maximum body movement when on the ground, as well as how to apply leg takedowns, hand attacks and locks when on the ground!

The Special Month of October E-mail
Tuesday, 04 September 2007 10:00

October is always a very special month for Hapkido.

The month starts off with the U Hok Saeng Lite from 1 October to 5 Octobr 2007. 1 October 2007 happens to be the Labour Day long weekend so definitely no excuse for anyone not getting on the mats for at least one day of the U Hok Saeng Lite, even if you can't make it any other day! This is one of the best ways to spend your day off from work or school!

Wednesday 3 October 2007 is the next BBC Seminar. This one is on Ki Power. I have done the Ki Power seminar a couple of times, and each time I have walked away in awe of the magic of Ki.

At this seminar you will learn the art of hurting people with minimum effort (in fact, no effort at all!) and if you don't believe how awesome Ki Power is then I suggest you ask Master Geoff for a demonstration as he is always willing to show people. This is definitely one that must be seen to be believed. I can't recommend it enough.

The mayhem of october climaxes with the Black Belt grading on the evening of Friday 26 October 2007. 6 provisionals are testing on this night, all from different Hapkido schools. If you have been to one of these awesome nights you know they are not to be missed.
